It all started the first day of high school, August 11, 2004. Due to a senior prank that took place, all students were confined to either the cafeteria or gymnasium. Sitting up on the stage with Nora in my perfectly picked out green collar shirt, tight light capris, and matching high top watermelon converse we talked as if it were still summer. Next thing I know, I see this kid with a red collar shirt, light jeans, and red Nike shocks coming my way. His shoulders high and held back, he walked like he owned the place. His hair placed just right, and the side burns... oh, the side burns! He and his friend with "cool hair", Marcus stopped and talked with my friend, Tommy. Soon after, we were dismissed to go to class. During lunch hour, the two of them visited Nora and I's lunch pole (not specifically, they really came to see Tommy). This is where I was first introduced to Brandon. Of course I was completely composed, and well-mannered. But he was not at all impressed. His response to my introduction was anything but pleasing, as he said, "hi". To summarize the next few months, every day at lunch hour, I made my way to my pole as I had always done, but never before had I waited for a visitor. Never failed, he and his friend would come by the last few minutes. It became habitual to expect him then. It wasn't till about a year later, that we actually started "talking". Our first date was at the Baseball Alumni game, December 17, 2005. We traded numbers after the game, and a few hours later, we talked into the next day. The conversation left me anxious for school on Monday, December 19th. Of course it was exam week, so it was a late start day and then the only break we had was the shortened lunch period. Regardless, I got to see him. After lunch he was walking me to Mr. Worth's class in the 500 wing when he took my arm and asked if he had to get on his knee. I didn't know what he was talking about, so I let out a questionable, "Nooo?". To my surprise, he says, "will you be my lunch wife?" and presented me with a quarter ring. I of course couldn't resist, but in all the excitement I guess I didn't really know that meant I was his girlfriend. I just thought that meant, he was asking me to eat lunch with him at his spot everyday, instead of mine. It wasn't until Wednesday, during the start of my Trig exam that I was questioned by Lambo, "Are you dating my boy, B Wag?" I at the time was still not sure, so Lambo sent him a text asking. A few minutes and two texts later I was informed I was B Wags girlfriend. I let out a loud, "YEEEEESSSS!!!!!" and was asked to leave the testing room. Needless to say, I failed my Trig. exam. The next hour seemed like it took a lifetime, as I waited outside his classroom door for his exam to finish. I couldn't wait to see him, my boyfriend! It didn't take long for our names to change. I was now known as Lil' Brandon and I coined him My Boo! Quarter ring into a Promise, Birthday Ring into Engagement. My life with him is consistent, and my love for him constant.
