I finally finished the dress and I'm pretty excited to show the girls and get their input. I know I will still have to make some minor changes to the skirt, and widen and lengthen the straps, but overall we are pretty much good to go!!

I couldn't help myself. I saw a post that said if you post a picture of your ring and and tag BrideDay you could get your ring aired during a repeat showing of Say Yes To The Dress. I figured it was worth the try even if I don't see it. Just so thankful for my boy and the adventures we have together. So it's Thanksgiving and almost all the family is out of state so what better to do than get some wedding planning done. My fabric finally came in so I figured I would try to make a mock dress for the bridesmaids. I've never done this before so it should be interesting to see how it turns out. 3 yards later and a bunch of pins I couldn't wait to try it out. Now I just how to sew it up. If its a go, I will have to make a few adjustments on measurements and then make the straps longer for additional styles. If all goes well, dresses will cost less than $30 a piece. :) So excited! Thanks Boo for taking pictures and begin my audience as well as my stylist on some of the looks. I spent the day with Kristi getting some wedding decisions done. After going and picking Kris and Mia up we headed towards the Jupiter Civic Center to work on the window ideas. We came up with a couple different options and met a few other brides that are planning weddings too! Afterwards we headed into C.R. Chicks to get some lunch. It was Mia's second time (the first time she was still in Mommy's belly) visiting! Then we went into Lilly to see about getting Mom a dress, which later turned out to be "too plastic" for our Padre. So needless to say we are still on the lookout for Mom's dress, but at least we have a better idea of what she, my dad and I want. Finally we headed home, fixed up Kris' computer and relaxed a little. Then Mom got home and gave me two surprises! They will be a perfect addition to the wedding decor… Anchors! Thank you Mom! Thanks for spending your day with me, Kris and Mia! Love you all! We are at it again. We just can't help ourselves. Hopefully Kohls lives up to their promises… $25 just for making a registry with at least 15 items. We were able to easily meet this requirement. However, we limited ourselves as doing it online was not as fun (or fast) as using the gun in the actual store. now we wait! Since we both have everything we really need to function in society as a married couple, we don't really need to register. Instead, our goal is to just register at as many places as we can, to reap the greatest benefits. Unless of course there was some type of Rent Registry. Anyway, so we went to Dillards, only to find how unprepared they were for registrants. All is well though, the Registry coordinator has fixed the "problem" and we got to use the gun (which is really all we care about). If you haven't noticed… it's still November. :) After getting a call from Pure Essentials waterless cooking event, it was almost impossible to pass up the bribe; sit through 2 hours of product info and you get free food and free 2 night hotel stay (just pay room taxes). Deal! So we went, sat, ate, claimed our well-deserved prize, and left. Then headed to the Ale House for some nachos. Oh, and shout out to Boo's beard (and mustache)! No shave November (halfway through!!!!). We started our day off at Bacio Bacio Bridal Boutique and tried on the Convertible dress. The material it was made out of was more than what I was expecting, but then again so was the total cost of the dress. I'm not to enthused with the costs as I know the fabric/time/energy put into making the dress is far less than the price tag. Regardless, we nth enjoyed ourselves and left the appointment satisfied in knowing that if all else fails, we know what dresses we could get for everyone. After leaving, we headed up to Jupiter Civic Center to give Munch the grand tour. Then we figured out the best layout for the bathroom. We topped the day off with some dessert from Annie's Italian ice and headed home. Quite the successful day! Thanks for your time, modeling, and patience Munch! After accidentally walking into flowermart on Wednesday just to get an idea of flowers, I was surprised to learn of an annual flower show taking place on Saturday. I met Pam who told me all about it and even took the time to set me up in a back room full of magazines and info books on flowers. She was such a sweetheart! I woke up and made my way up to Jupiter to see what they had in store. After a bunch of free raffled prizes and multiple classes in which customers got to make an arrangement I left with a sunflower (my favorite) arrangement. Then I wasted some time at the beach collecting some driftwood. Brandon and I then headed out to my parents house for dinner which then turned shopping. My Mom, Brandon and I went to Michaels and bought out favor supplies! Later I surprised Brandon with his long-awaited Gelati from Annie's Italian Ice in Jupiter. From there we headed to Carlin Park to listen and dance to the music at the wedding taking place just on the other side of the sea grapes. :) Thank you, Boo!!! Hence, 6 course meal: Flowers, Beach, Dinner, Favors, Dessert, and Dance Family and Friend Post-Wedding Reception is set to go! We will be having our extended wedding reception on Sunday, May 4th at Jupiter Beach Park. With a little push from Brandon to rent early and a phone call and fax later we were finalized! Now I can relax and start planning for Sunday! I hope this extended reception will prove to be successful in letting us enjoy a significant amount of time with all of the special people in our lives! Oh and I have almost "finalized" our website!!! So hopefully I will be able to go public with it. More than likely if you are reading this, this has already occurred :). We hope you enjoy looking around! |
